Drug cell permeability

Drug cell permeability is measured using cell cultures grown in special plates that allow collection of equilibrated drug from each side of a cell layer. Drug permeation through cells is important for absorption from the intestines and tissue bioavailability.

Cytoscient offers directional permeability measurements across layers of Caco-2 cells as a model of intestinal absorption. Other cells can be tested, including MDCK cells.
