non-CYP inhibition

Non-CYP inhibition caused by drugs should be tested to predict possible drug-drug interactions. The non-CYP enzymes include flavin-containing monooxygenases (FMO) and UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT). Inhibition is detected in biochemical or hepatocyte cell assays utilizing substrates specific for the individual enzymes.

Cytoscient offers either single-point or IC50 tests for both FMO and UGT.
